Hike Our Feelings in the Field: intuitive art collaborations with wild flower friends
EXPERIMENTAL FIELD WORK IN THE FLOWERS
April 16th 10am-2pm in Red Rock Canyon Park in Topanga
Join Fino (snakeroot apothecary) and guest teacher, artist, poet, visionary Red in an “art” (whatever that means) making workshop amongst our more than human friends.
In this class we will practice guided (and misguided) art exercises to encourage connection us to our intuitive communication with plants. How do we combine intuitive, imaginative, emotional drawing and poetics out in the field of lived experiences? Experimental practices guide us to express what we are feeling, seeing, receiving in relation to our environment and the spiritual communications of plants.
will will cover/encourage:
plant materials in art making
communication with plants and other beings (stones, water, etc) & somatic connections
plant prayer poems
and partake in art practices out in the field.
BRING WATER ART MAKING / DRAWING/ WATER COLORS/ PASTELS/PEN/BALL OF CLAY - whatever you want! Any medium and expression - there are no limits to your expression but there are limits to the words we are using in this class description- (lol)
