G-GUSH: SEASONAL LYMPHATICS WORKSHOP

G-GUSH: SEASONAL LYMPHATICS WORKSHOP

Lessons in anatomy, manual drainage and herbal accompaniments.

Spring is a big transition time, the seasonal shift from death to life and the sap rises in the trees and starts to flow. Wild spring greens stick their tiny heads up through the wintered soil and offer their bitter tonic sweetness. The ice melts and the rivers gush - the acequias are tended and debris cleared out, the waterways open and the sound can be heard throughout the high desert.

Join Kathy and Fino for an immersive workshop on spring wellness as we explore the lymphatic system. We will discuss the anatomy of the lymph and introduce herbal approaches to lymphatic health and why it is compatible with movement and touch. Kathy will workshop manual lymphatic drainage and together we will learn techniques to properly drain the lymph.

The lymphatic system is a river that moves throughout our body, clearing silt and debris on it’s way. In a physical way it interplays with the immune system, the health of our blood (proper drainage), and the repair of tissues and organs. Our lymphatic system holds the intelligence which responds to inflammation. The networks of our lymph run throughout our entire body and therefore relate to deep energetic boundaries in an emotional and spiritual way. Participants will leave class with a deeper understanding of the lymphatic system and ways to support our lymph with both herbs and touch.

A nourishing broth will be provided - but bring your own water and snacks!
